Jacques Forestier was born into a family of musicians. Now thirteen years old, Jacques began playing the violin at age two and has since delighted audiences across Canada with his passion for music and love of performing. He studies with William van der Sloot at Mount Royal University in Calgary. A frequent prizewinner, Jacques has performed at Carnegie Hall, and has been featured as soloist with the ESO and the Alberta Baroque Ensemble. In April 2018, Jacques travelled to Geneva to compete in the Menuhin Violin Competition, the only Canadian to qualify.
Susanne Ruberg-Gordon is Swedish-born and a highly regarded chamber musician and collaborative pianist. She has shared the stage with artists such as James Campbell, Desmond Hoebig, Jens Lindemann and Dame Evelyn Glennie. She is pianist and core member of the Juno-nominated Land’s End Ensemble in Calgary. Suzanne has been on faculty at the Mount Royal University Conservatory since 1991, where she teaches chamber music and is Collaborative Pianist Coordinator. She has been the pianist for the acclaimed Morningside Music Bridge program in Canada, China and Poland since 2001.
